This topic's here to get to know other members and when they started liking Xiao Gui...it can be brief or it can be detailed, doesn't matter...see you around!

About me:
I am from the US and if you had told me 6 months ago that I would be part of a forum for someone in Taiwan, I probably wouldn't have believed you. I quite accidentally stumbled across Xiao Gui and YLBFB, but I am quite fond of both, lol Ironically, I am actually a member of Show Lo's International English Forum, but followed a link from one the users to asianfanatics.net....that's when I started posting more and more about Xiao Gui...as more and more people were getting interested in Xiao Gui, Sanguine decided to try and start a forum for english/international fans...at least I think that's why she did it, lol...anyway, I thought it "sounded good" so here I am

About Xiao Gui:
I first saw Xiao Gui in the drama Pi Li MIT...I thought his character was so funny and brave, so I started to wonder what else he's acted in...then I found Summer X Summer and Tokyo Juliet, although I lost interest with TJ for a while. I also started searching on YouTube for clips of Xiao Gui and Xiao Zhu after I finally watched Corner With Love (loved it!) That's when things really took off and I became fully hooked on YLBFB, and always wondering what Xiao Gui was going to do next...

Actualy, along the same lines as lo_ovelyxiaogui, I'm from the US, in a small town about half an hour outside of Boston. If you had told me 7 mouths ago i'd be creating a forum dedicated to a Taiwanese Idol, iId have to look up Taiwan to see what it was. lol. jk, i wasnt that bad, but i probably couldn't have piked it out on a map.

I blame avondale for everything thats happened to my life these last 7 months. She has a thing for Asian men, so she Google imaged 'Hot Asian Men' and after some slightly less clothed people popped up, she found Wu Chun. She made me watch Hana Kimi with her, and i fell for Jiro. He was they type of guy i liked, muscular and tall. we got into Fahrenheit, and watched the bai fen bai with them as guests. I had no idea who they hosts were, and thought they were kind of annoying.

then, something happened on Jan 15 of this year. i went back to see if i could figure out what happened, but i have no clue. i switched from Fahrenheit to Xiao Gui. Which is weird, because Xiao Gui's body type isnt what i like. He's skinny, and not very muscular, and not very tall. So, i started watching random clips, and trying to find out as much as i could about him. Then I watched Pi Li, and like, re-fell in love with him. now i watch Bai fen Bai religiously.

Ok, here goes mine.

I'm from Singapore and i only started liking xiao gui last December. That's when i restarted watching Taiwanese dramas (thanks to my ex colleague who got me into watching Hot Shot). I find Show really funny, his dance moves are superb and his talent for singing is good too but it's just something about him that i'm not really into. Oh btw, i've been a fan of Jerry Yan, still am although not as much. You'll know why in a bit. Then my ex colleague told me that Show is hosting an entertainment show which is really funny. I stumbled upon it on youtube and *BAAAMM* that's when i saw XIAO GUI

I ADORE his dimples. I know that he used to be skinny but i like the way he is now. Slightly chubby on the face and he looks like he has strong arms (remember the black sleeveless top he wore during rehearsal of his tong le hui in BFB?). There's just something about this guy which makes me wanna support him!

So there. Uber glad that he finally released an EP and words are out that he'll be releasing an ACTUAL album by year end. Will be there to support him and i am really praying/hoping to see him when i'm in Taiwan this December

What sanguine said actually made me remember something...I had first started into the whole asian drama thing [and eventually YLBFB] because of my sister getting me to watch Hana-Kimi, where of course I liked Jiro (Wu Chun looked pretty ok)...then I started watching dramas, MVs, and other things related to Fahrenheit like crazy, even to the point where I passed up the chance to go to this movie I had been dying to see...and then for some reason I just stopped looking for updated info about them (except Jiro, lol)...so now it's strange because I'm always trying to find out things about Xiao Gui, but have limited capabilities...but now that this forum is here, perhaps people with better resources than me will join and share what they know

Hey, everyone! It's so cool the forum for Xiao Gui started up...in hopes it will one day be as big as the forum that allowed me to discover this (i.e. Show's International English Forum).

If you told me 6 months ago I'd be obsessed with Taiwanese show, stars, and music...I wouldn't really be surprised, quite honestly. I was in the Japanese drama/star/music fandom for a long time, and my attention span switches a lot, so going into another Asian fandom wouldn't have been odd, or really difficult. On the other hand, if you said I'd have stuck to an entertainer for over three months, I would've been surprised because me liking and watching a star religiously for over a month is not so common....but I have a feeling it will last with Xiao Gui (and Xiao Zhue, but this forum isn't about him, huh?).

Hmm...well, the first Taiwanese drama I really watched (I watched a few as a kid with my parents, but they were adult ones, or in the case of Meteor Garden, ones they showed at night I wasn't really interested in) was Corner with Love. At first, I thought, "Oh, the actor is pretty good looking...okay, not bad" and promptly went back to the Japanese fandom without thinking of it. Then, I was bored because there were no new Japanese dramas for me to watch...so I looked up Show again and found Hot Shot. Somehow, I really like how Wu Chun looked in that drama and began watching his dramas, found Fahrenheit, began watching them, and found them on YLBFB. I became un-obsessed with them in about a month, which is about the same time I finally re-noticed Show (well, I noticed him in Hot Shot and really liked him as an actor and character) and became obsessed, which made me watch YLBFB and soon discover Xiao Gui! He was so funny and cute (and recently, really hot with his new haircut! Not that he wasn't before...but he does seem different after his EP release, huh?). I always love what he does in YLBFB (Huang Xiao Gui! Little Xiao Gui in a baby diaper, haha) or what he says or acts...I'm always looking forward to him on YLBFB. I watch it religiously (wah...I soon will not be able to). But what I love about them is not just their looks (which, I have to admit, made me like them first...I mean, it's because of their looks I watched them and discovered YLBFB...yes, I am very shallow. )--I really love their personalities. So, Xiao Gui (and Xiao Zhu) are the two first stars in my heart (Xiao Gui's creeping up pretty quickly...will they soon be even?). I really wish they were my older brothers (for some reason, I really don't want to think of myself as a wife...but I would love an older brother...or two). And, as this post is getting waaaaay to long, I will end it here...

hi guys!you can call me kriz.im from California but i was born and raised in the Philippines.i joined the forum because i wanna know everything about XIAO GUI! because i super love XIAO GUI like everyone in this forum.i always watch his videos over and over again--from noon till 3am--

okay i started liking XIAO GUI prolly since march2009 when i was searching for SHOW LO's videos.i found some videos of their show--100% entertainment/yu le bai fen bai--and i watched almost all their videos with and without english subs[though i do not speak nor understand mandarin at all]. At first, all i want to see and know is everything about SHOW LO. So i joined SHOW's int'l forum and i saw a link for XIAO GUI's blog--just so you know i grabbed a lot of his pics there.LOL-- Still, idk why suddenly i was searching for XIAO GUI and less about SHOW LO. i guess it's XIAO GUI's hilarious laugh, his cute face,his humor, his childish character, his voice, his funny 'dance moves', and other million reasons i got why i love XIAO GUI. i also joined the thread in Asianfanatics but im not active in it.Then when i heard that XIAO GUI is having his EP mini-album and he had his promotion in ylbfb[a member in SHOW LO's English International Forum translated the whole episode] just now i revisited the asianfanatic thread and saw the link for this forum. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the creator of this forum!!!
Like most of you, i also watched some of his dramas like Pi Li MIT and Tokyo Juliet, and Black Tide because it is the peak of my obsession for XIAO GUI. Then i read from the Asianfanatics thread that he is also in Summer X Summer and Corner with Love--i didnt knew he was there too because when i watched those drama is because of ETHAN RUAN in SXS and SHOW LO in CWL--now im deciding if i will re-watch those dramas again.

well yeah, i need to know more about XIAO GUI and i am hoping this forum will share a lot of updates about XIAO GUI.

likewise here, i usually watch stuff with the person i adore in it. for corner with love, it was my ex-colleague who recommended me the show and i didn't know xiao gui was in it. initially it was because of Show as well, cus i think his acting's really funny and somehow got me addicted to watch one episode after another non-stop. but unlike kriztetalovesxiaogui, i've watched YLBFB a lot before watching corner with love so when i saw him in the drama, i was like, OMG!! that's xiao gui!!! hehhehe.

anyhows, we'll definitely try to keep this forum up and kicking with more updates asap. the asian fanatic forum won't die of course. it'll be another source for us to get updates from members and also inform them of this forum.

so everyone, remember to spread the love of this unofficial xiao gui fanclub to those out there whom you know likes him, but is unsure of where to oogle/talk about him. and of course, get them to introduce themselves first so that we could all feel like a family in a club of someone we adore

I'm from Philippines and a 99% asian fanatic ( 1/3 Xiao Zhu fan, 1/3 Xiao Gui fan and 1/3 T-MAX fan).
My heart belongs to under-rated artists. And that's what I thought of Xiao Gui when I first came to know him.
I'm glad that he's now really making a name in the entertainment! Yay for him!

i live in berlin germany, but i gonna change in 1 and half week. then i'll be in hong kong as part of my studies. i hope i'll have the chance to go to taiwan at least once. nevertheless i have to study hard most of the time at least. maybe there will be some promotion of his full album at the end of the year?!

actually i started watching bfb 1 and half year ago. the first episode i watched was with fahrenheit (I'm still watching stuff about them because they are quite entertaining and funny during interviews/shows) together with xiao gui and xiao zhu is even better, even i can't unterstand a word. i started liking xiao gui when i listened to gui hun because i really like his voice and the style of his music...is more rock-a-like. in addition to that i really like his dimples (in german it is called grübchen...the best word ever) just to cute

I'm from Lithuania. Found this forum at asianfanatics.net. If recent days you saw guest there, that was probably me.
Not so long time ago, just about half year ago a friend recommended Hana Kimi (Taiwan version) I like it. Started listening Fahrenheit. So watched them interviews and so I found out 100% entertainment with them.
Now I listen Fahrenheit less, but watching 100% entertainment more And after hearing his song I like him even more. And yes his laugh is addictive

Once I saw Xiao Gui back in 2006 in the drama 'Corner With Love' I pretty much loved his cute smile and dimples. Ahhh!! He's super funny and his laugh is just so cute!
I don't have much of a story like you guys but since then I have been following him :] Stalker? Probably lol
I want to go to Taiwan by summer of 2010 to go see him in the show Bai fen Bai hmmn but I really don't know where to get tickets or anything maybe I shall start a thread and maybe someone can help...hopefully

Hi, I ate your last cookie! About YLBFB episode recordings--I think I answered in another thread, or on the AF thread, but I'll mention it again. You rarely ever need to get tickets ahead of time, but you do sometimes (I know for Luo Zhi Xiang's certain episodes, they are needed--it's free, though). Typically, what happens is you go and line up on the day of the recording. To find out the dates and times, you need to call the YLBFB number in Taiwan, and the person who answers will tell you. It's in Chinese though, so you need to know Chinese or ask someone who speaks it. The person who answers the call will also give you the specifics.

At least, I think that's how you figure out recordings and when you need to get there. It might change.

POGA's right. u need to call before going down to the recording. the lady will inform u in chinese of the dates of recording and such. we have an AF member, freya1507 who goes there most of the time when she was in Taiwan (she's back in germany now). she always gave her fan account in AF and i think she has some fan account in show's international forum too. u could always message her and wait for her reply. if not, i could help out cus i'm going to Taiwan in december. tickets and all are booked but it's up to my luck whether or not i'll get into BFB recording then. even if i do, i'm not sure if both xiao gui and xiao zhu would be around. i guess we'll wait till then and i'll be able to tell u my whole experience yeah?

Xiao Gui and Xiao Zhu typically don't leave Taiwan for over a month, so they'll probably be there in December. I think Xiao Zhu might release an album in that month or the next two months, because there is usually a year gap between them. But both will be there, so you should be able to see them (it might depend on what week you go, though). Xiao Zhu's schedule is updated on his English forum and AF, and I'll update Xiao Gui's schedule to let you know.
